Not to long ago a man was walking down the street, he was looking at the people around him and greeting every person that walked pass.
As he walked pass a coffee shop he decided that a cup would do him good and he still had time before his next appointment. He went in and the smell of fresh coffee and pie greeted him at the door. He looked over the people to see if there was not an open table for him, as he found one he went to sit down.
The waiter that came up to him to take his order was smiling. The man looked at his water and noticed that his smile did not meet his eyes. He will have to come here again; maybe he can help this waiter. After he ordered he looked at the family that sat across from him.
The daddy was smiling at his baby girl and the mommy was smiling at them both. It was clear from to all that this was a happy family who had love between them. His eyes followed the little girls hand as she placed it on the daddy’s cheek and spoke in baby language to him.
‘I love you dada’
The man received his coffee and drank it slowly as it was still very hot. The family across from him received there pies and was enjoying it. The man’s attention was momentarily taken from the family when a blind man and his Seeing Eye dog came in. The dog was licking his master’s hand and seemed to be exited.
The little girl across from the man got really exited at the sight of the dog.
‘Doggy! Doggy! I want to play with the doggy!’ came the baby babble again.
The blind man told his dog to go and ensured him that he was fine, after he took a seat.
‘ Nice little girl, Rupert wont bite or hurt.’ The dog said to the little girl as she stroke him softly on the head.
The man smiled again and looked at his watch. He drank down the last bit off coffee and stood up wile placing the money on the table for the waiter. He went outside and waited, for it was almost time for his next appointment.
The coffee shop door opened and the happy family came out. The daddy had his girl in his one arm and his wife on the other arm. They stood at the edge of the sidewalk, as they needed to cross the road. The man looked at his watch again and walked in front of the family in the street, just as they wanted to step of the curb. At that moment a bus came past and hit the man.
The family was trembling from shock. They knew it could have been them. They ran to the front of the bus to see if they could help the man. But he was nowhere to be found. They looked everywhere around the bus and under the bus but he was just gone. They asked the bus driver if he had seen anything, he was confused as well as he was sure that he hit a man, but did not see him get up or walk away. At that moment the blind man joined the family,
‘ What are you looking for?’
The daddy answered him.
‘For the man that was just hit by the bus.’
The blind man chuckled,
‘Do you not know a guardian Angel when you see one? Rupert here alerted me immediately when I walked into the coffee shop of his presence, animals and children are more open to their presence.
Remember God knows everything and He loves us so that He sends His angels to protect us and yes even get hit by a bus for us. As each and every one of us have a purpose to for fill.’
