Poetry
I see the work of Your great hand in mountains and the sea
And wonder how so great a God could love someone like me.
At times I get so homesick just to see my Saviour’s face
And how I long to thank You for Your wondrous gift of grace.
I wait for your appearing as I watch the eastern shore
And hope that this might be the day that I’ve been longing for.
I scan the skies and pray that Your dear image I will see;
I listen for that trumpet sound that You’ve come back for me.
Until that day, I’ll do the work You’ve chosen me to do
And ask that as I kneel in prayer, my spirit You’ll renew.
I’m waiting for that Blessed Hope that You have promised me
To take me Home to be Your bride for all eternity.

The most touching lines to me:
"At times I get so homesick just to see my Saviour’s face
"And how I long to thank You for Your wondrous gift of grace."
Could these be lyrics for a new worship hymn? It would be just beautiful, and so moving, I think.
