Faith
The angels hearken to the voice of God's Word.
Hearken: pay attention, hears, comes when they hear the word spoken when those words are filled with faith. To listen attentively, give heed. To listen, to hear.
Ps 103:20 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.
In the realm of the spirit, the words that come forth from our mouths are actual containers. A container is like a cup, and can hold something inside. Our words are like cups, and they hold faith, or fear. They hold emotions that come from life, or those emotions come from darkness, which is death. Death owns darkness and everything evil that would come to steal from you, take away from you, destroy your life, or kill you. John 10:10a The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy you.
The only thing that pleases God is faith filled words in the realm of the spirit. Faith filled… faith filled… faith filled words. Words filled with faith, and trust in God's word, that He has spoken to you the truth, and will bring that truth or word to pass, now. Now faith is. Faith is now. Faith isn't tomorrow. I'm not going to get what I believe for tomorrow, but I have it now. Now, right now. I have what I am believing for, right now. That's faith. John 10:10 BUT, I have come that they (you) might have LIFE and that more abundantly. (the excessive goodly life)
Your natural mind cannot understand faith. Your natural mind cannot understand peace. Your natural mind cannot understand healing. Your natural mind cannot understand freedom. God gives us the Peace that passes all natural understanding. Where does this understanding of truth, or faith, come from? Faith, and understanding, and revelation knowledge comes from hearing the word of God, over and over and over again. Somehow, because our spirits are a part of God's spirit, the word which we hear comes into our spirits, and begins to build faith in us. The word, once the faith begins down in our spirit, begins to renew our minds, and we start to understand God's way of thinking, God's point of view, God's way of believing, and we stop thinking and believing our own way.
Angels have been assigned to each of us. The angels watch us, and listen to our words. They can only act according to the words that come out of our mouths. The angels listen to see if we will glorify Jesus with our words, or glorify the devil with our words, and can only act if we glorify Jesus with our words.
What does glorify mean? To make much of. To honor. Who are we giving honor to, God, or the devil? Honor means high regard. Who gets our high regard? Who do we recognize with our words when problems attack us? Are we honoring and recognizing God with our words, or are we agreeing with the devil, and glorifying him with our words, when trouble comes?
When two or more agree on something, there is greater power to get our prayers answered by God. But, when those same two agree with each other about how we both have the same sickness, or we both had the same attack, or that happened to me too, it sounds like we are bragging on the devils ability to bring two or more of us the same problem, and he is getting glory out of that. We should instead be giving glory to God, and saying how no matter what problems come our way, I have a big God, and my God is greater than my problems. My God is greater than my pain I'm feeling. My God is bigger than my need. I choose to agree with God, that God is my Healer, God is my protector, God is my Provider, God is my Peace, and give Him glory, and agree with others that God is their big God and will take care of their need.
The angels pay attention when glory is given to our God, and they come to our rescue. They stand up and take notice, when they hear, "Devil, I may have this pain, I may have this sickness, I may have this fever, BUT, MY GOD IS BIGGER than this sickness. My God is bigger than this problem. My God is bigger than this financial distress attacking me. But my God!! But, my GOD! He's bigger, mr. Devil. My God has already defeated you in hell, in your own domain, in your own territory. Jesus ALREADY defeated you, and whipped you, and embarrassed you in front of your own gang, devil. He WON the VICTORY. He already won my victory for me. And I'm taking back what's mine. There is NOTHING you can do about it. Ha, ha, ha, ha on you devil. Ha ha ha on you! I win. You lose. Neener neener!" AND you say this when it looks like you are not winning. You say this when all hell is breaking loose. You don't bow down. You don’t look back. You don’t examine the evidence in the devils favor to win. You say it with every ounce of strength in you. You say it with a victory cry, and you run at the enemy just like David ran at Goliath, and you shout the victory, fully expecting your God to back you up, and come to your defense and rescue.
David went after a giant he could not possibly win against… in the natural. But, he had a God. OH yes, David had a God. And David fully expected for his God to come to his rescue. His God would not sit back and let him get slaughtered by the bad guy, Goliath. Why? Because he had God's attention. All of Heaven stood up and took notice of what? David's words. What was David SAYING to Goliath. David said, "I killed the lion and the bear with the help of God, and just like God helped me kill that lion, and my God helped me kill that bear, he will help me kill this uncircumcised philistine." This Goliath did not have a covenant with God, but David did have a covenant with God, and he was leaning heavily on that covenant he had with his God, that he would win this battle. He RAN at Goliath with nothing but little pebbles and a sling shot, knowing… knowing… knowing… that my God, his God, your God, would be there when he arrived at the problem, at the giant, at the sickness, and would take the giant out. David used his faith with his words, and with that thrown pebble. He slung that pebble at his problem, and watched, fully expecting God to take his faith and whip that giant with it.
What happened? The giant got knocked out by a little rock slung by a teen aged boy. He fell THUNK to the ground. David ran and jumped on the giants chest, grabbed Goliaths own sword, and cut the head of his problem, the giants head off, and held it up for all to see what his great BIG God had done for him. What a victory. I can have that kind of victory too. You can have that kind of victory too. Feed on the word, and then let those words come flying out of your mouth, filled with faith, and aim them right at your problem, right at your sickness, right at that no good devil who would dare to stand up against a holy one of God, and let him have it right between the eyes. Then, fully expect your great BIG God to come to your rescue.
You literally have ammo right in your own mouth, in the form of words. When your words are filled with God, with faith, with life, with light, they take out the enemy, they take out the darkness attempting to take you out, and you WIN.
What are you going to be "saying" now? Who are you going to be agreeing with, God, or the devil? Who is going to win over your life?

Great article...a reminder of the power and love of our God. By the way, don't you imagine that rock that killed Goliath was named "Faith"?
And to you Caroline, I say AMEN, AMEN! THE ENEMY IS GOING DOWN! Just like you said, he has all ready been defeated. How foolish for anyone to think that the devil could outwit our Lord, our bright and shining Light. Yes, it takes letting His word become engrained in our heart and mind, then move out of the way devil, for we are coming through! Love and blessings, Sharon
