John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; (make alive) the FLESH profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
If there is no profit in the FLESH, then that means there is profit in the spirit. The Word of God IS Life. The Word IS spirit. To be spiritual is not how much you go to church, but how much you walk in the word. What comes out of your mouth? The blessing or the curse? Spirit words based on the word of God, or fleshy words based on how you feel, which is what the world has taught us?
What happens when symptoms of sickness come on your body? What is the first thing that comes out of your mouth? Spirit words, or fleshy words? Spirit words would be alone the line of no matter what you are feeling, or how much it hurts you say nothing but the truth. What is the truth? What God has said, and nothing else. Not what you feel, not what your thoughts are telling you, not what your body is screaming at you, just what God has said. If all you can do is holler Jeeeeeesssssuuuuuussssss, then do it.
I had to do that the other day. I was hollering Jesus over and over because it felt like a big dude had my lower calf in a vice grip and was squeezing it. My body was screaming, “my leg is going to fall off and then I won’t be able to walk. We’re gonna diiiiiie.” Do you think I said that out loud, or even allowed myself to dwell on those thoughts? NO way! That’s the last thing I wanted is to die or my leg to fall off. I’m not stupid. I hollered Jeeeeeesuuuuuuuuuuusssssssss. I was yelling. If the windows had been open, they would have heard me down the street. I didn’t care. I was in a battle and I was determined I would win. I started saying, I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus, and I plead the blood over my leg. I knew my weapons in the word were stronger than anything that could come against me, and I would win. I knew that strongly, no matter what my body was screaming or feeling. I am not going to be moved by my circumstance, but I will only be moved by the word of God. That is the safest place to be. No way is the enemy getting me to step out of my bubble of protection. Outside of God and His Protection, I won’t last. I will die, or be tormented and tortured by the enemy if I happen to survive. No thanks! I’m not living under the curse; I’m living under the blessing.
Deuteronomy 11:26-32
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
Going after other gods, also means going your own way, which is idolatry, because going your own way and doing your own thing, instead of obedience to God and His ways, is making yourself your own god.
The Blessing is God in every area of your life. The Blessing means success in every part of your life. You know what the Blessing is when you see something that is a curse. The opposite of the blessing is the curse. The law of righteousness is the opposite of the law of sin and death. The law of sin and death is the curse. The law of righteousness is the blessing. Sickness is a curse, so what would the blessing in that area be? Health. If pain is a curse, then what would be the blessing? Freedom from pain. No pain in your body at all is a blessing. Depression is a curse; peace is a blessing. Fear is a curse; boldness and having no fear is a blessing. Lack and want, and never having enough, and living from pay check to pay check is a curse, so having enough to meet every need, not only your own but being able to help others, is under the blessing. To put it more simply, every good thing that happens is under the blessing, and everything that happens that is bad is under the curse. Me, I don’t want the curse, how about you? I want the blessing in every part of my life; I want the blessing flowing through me.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the FLESH, but after the Spirit.
When someone is in sin, they will feel condemnation over that sin. If they feel condemnation then they are walking under the curse, and won't have success. Walking in the spirit is walking in obedience to the things of God, and walking according to what God has commanded in His word. If we love God, then we will obey Him, and seek to be pleasing to Him. If we don’t obey God, then we make ourselves out to be our own God, and we fall under the curse.
Now, this isn’t condemnation if you are caught up in sin, and you want out but you can't get out from under that curse. Just cry out to God, and He will come to rescue you from the curse, and set you free. To stay free, you must get under the Word, and get under anointed preaching, so you can get the blessing on you to protect you from sin. There is no other way to be free, but living under the words that God has spoken in His word. We can only live in God’s bubble of protection, if we stay under the word of God and keep being obedient and pleasing to Him. Then nothing bad can touch you. Nothing can come against you and succeed. No matter what happens, you will win every time. It doesn’t mean you will never encounter attacks, but it means because of your Protector being over you, and your obedience to your Protector, that you will win, and it won’t take long at all.
If you have a machine gun, someone might still try to break in your house, but how far will they get? Not far, eh? If you have these big angels living at your house, and sickness tries to get in, how far do you think they will get? Not far. Nope, not far at all. But, you have to stand your ground, saying, and thinking only what God says. You don’t want to take the ammo away from your angels by agreeing with the enemy. “I’m gonna dieeeeee” is not the correct thing to say while under attack. It’s like dumping all your ammo out on the floor. What good is a gun with no bullets? Not much. Ten angels with guns and no ammunition aren't going to be much protection. So, keep your angels weapons loaded up with ammo, so the enemy can’t get in and defeat you.
Romans 8;4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the FLESH, but after the Spirit
The righteousness of the law or the blessing cannot be fulfilled in us if we are not obedient, but instead, are going after the way the flesh thinks, the wrong thoughts that come to our mind. If we walk after the flesh, our own wicked way of thinking and doing, and being, then the curse has every right to come in and block our blessings. If our blessings are blocked, then all hell can break loose on us, literally.
Romans 8:5 For they that are after the FLESH do mind the things of the FLESH; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For those who are according to the flesh and are CONTROLLED by its unholy desires SET their minds on and pursue those things which gratify/please the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are CONTROLLED by the DESIRES of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify/please the [Holy] Spirit.amp
I want to please the Spirit of God and be pleasing to Him, not please and gratify my own self and my selfish desires. I want to be found pleasing and acceptable to the One who Owns me and bought and paid for me. What was the money He used to pay for me? The precious blood of Jesus was the commodity used to pay for my ransom from the evil taskmaster who had me in bondage to himself.
Romans 8:6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
Sin brings misery, and torment, and the curse of the law.
The mind of the spirit and being controlled by the Spirit brings life, peace, heath, and the blessing on our life.
Romans 8:7 That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot.
Thinking according to the flesh is hostile or making us an enemy to God, which brings the curse.
This chapter was written to Christians by the way. Sinners can’t even understand this.
Ro 8:8
So then they that are in the FLESH cannot please God.
For if ye live after the FLESH, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (die, means come under the curse)
So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.
Jesus is coming back for an obedient people who are walking in and under the Blessing of God, and whose desire is to please and gratify the Spirit of God.
Galations 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the FLESH.
5:19 Now the works of the FLESH are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Ga 5:24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the FLESH with the affections and lusts.
Ga 6:8 For he that soweth to his FLESH shall of the FLESH reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
If we sow to the flesh, we shall reap the curse, but if we sow to the spirit, we shall reap the blessing. Those who sow to the spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
