Prophecy
Silence
By: Kevin Kindrick
For too long, silence has reigned. On the streets of our cities, amid the bustle of people, and the roar of traffic, silence reigns -- silence at injustice, silence in the face of persecution, and silence held in shame, rooted in the fear of our true selves being discovered.
So many Christians in this nation today wonder why nobody is able to hear the Gospel of Christ, why so many people turn a deaf ear. I ask, why do we not tell them? We are all willing to sit in church, and listen to the pastor preach a wonderful message, then share with each other how good God is, but why don't we tell those whom we see every day?
Do we just lack opportunity? No. The only person who lacks the opportunity to share the Good News is the one who has totally cut himself off from all human contact. Who do we work with, if not other people? Who do we attend classes with, if not other people? Who do we see in the shopping malls, if not other people?
Satan has managed to hold the children of God mute for too long now. I say, the time has come to cast off silence, to remove the gags of fear from over our lips. Be silent no longer! Every word of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God spoken by a child of the King is a blow to the kingdom of darkness, to the forces that would hold us silent; and every word held back is a victory won by Satan and his servants.
Strike that blow! Win a victory for the Kingdom of Heaven! Open your mouth, and speak of the Gospel to the waiting ears and hearts of those you see every day.
"When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."
--Jesus, Luke 12:11-12
May God bless your words, and give you boldness to speak what you know to those waiting to hear.

Right on target, Kevin! Tell it like it is! (and thanks for being so faithful about reading my work...didn't know how to contact you - but your comments are greatly appreciated! Had to tell you!)God Bless...loved this piece!
Great message, Kevin. To the point and though-provoking. We are all guilty of holding back the Good News of our Lord and Savior, but when you liken it to a victory for Satan, it makes my blood boil. Thanks for the reminder of what our true mission is - to tell others. I pray for boldness for all Christians to speak out with enthusiasm and trust in the Holy Spirit's provision to supply the right words when they are needed. Yours in Christ, Karen
Thank you, Kevin. My sentiments exactly. It's no longer about whether or not you're a "Sunday-morning-Christian." (for those who've actually come out of that.) Rather, my concern is whether or not you're willing to speak out about what you know. Excellent piece there, Sir Kevin. Excellent!
