Oh sweet hour before the dawn
Slow down you rising sun
I’ve come to the garden once again
To be with the Holy One
He meets me here quite early
Each day, new strength to find
Faithfully granting guidance
Peace for a soldiers mind
His word alive and active
A filament burning bright
Impressing on the heart
Spiritual insight
Some days no thought is given
No revelation great
Just power gained for living
This love of His innate
Abundant life is granted
It's promised and it's free
The love of God incarnate
Growing inside of me
On my knees each day I pray
And seek the Saviors face
What better way to start the day
Than at the throne of grace
