You can smell it, the fear all around us,
The future in uncertain hands,
Earthquakes and disasters, volcanoes and more,
What's happ'ning within our own lands?
We've failed to seek God, His altar ignored,
Just where does security lie?
Just where do we go when we feel overwhelmed
And feel our own burdens piled high?
Depression is rampant and hearts overcome,
We feel the fear building inside.
If Jesus were here just what would He say,
The One who e'en orders the tide?
"My peace I have given, I'm still in control,
The future is still in My hands.
You've nothing to fear when you focus on Me,
My mercy and grace like the sands.
I'm holding you closely, I know your heart's needs,
Your future I've already planned.
I've told you what's coming, your times in My hand,
'Fear not' is My constant command.
Look up when you feel your world shaking,
For I am a constant for you,
Your future in heaven I've already prepared,
Just do what I tell you to do.
'Fear not'; there's a reason I say this,
Your world is within My control.
Your needs I've provided, your future is sure,
All worries on Me you must roll.
The past is the proof I am able,
My arms hold you next to My heart.
I will not desert you no matter what comes,
For You've had My love from the start."
