I am married to pastor Alan Black, graduate of Ozark Christian College. I am first a Christian, then a wife, then a mother who happens to also be a writer, speaker and singer. We have two sons: ages 14 and 11. Our family enjoys learning together, riding horses, raising cattle, making music and, most of all, ministering the love of Jesus to everyone!
As a preacher’s wife, home school teacher, former parent educator, country girl with a college degree, auctioneer, and even former professional rodeo queen, I draw upon a wide array of experiences to relate to audiences. My desire is to show them Christ and the fullness of His sufficiency. The Lord is my constant companion, comforter, and Savior. I pray that people will see what that means in everyday ways for a child of The King.
I believe topics addressed should be designed to entertain as well as challenge the listener with conviction and encouragement. Humor and heart felt sincerity are key ingredients.
As a published writer, I am capable of creating a piece to fit specific programs or themes. I regularly write editorials, columns, devotions and news stories. Presently I am co-authoring a book with a gospel singer documenting a miraculous recovery from paralysis as well as compiling my own published works for a devotional book.
I am a member of the Christian Writers Fellowship in Girard, Kansas and a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia with a BS in Agriculture Journalism. I have taught many Bible study groups and enjoy being a student of God's Word. Additionally, I have spoken at ladies meetings for more than 15 years.
