I didn't start out wanting to be a writer but God showed me I had a talent and He wanted to use it, and He has. My first effort to the writing challenge "Seething" received the Highly Commendable award and my fifth effort "Caught In A Trap" was in the Top Forty. Since I have only entered the challenge a total of six times I am happy with the results. Someone asked me if I was disappointed when I did not place. My response was that I win everytime I submit simply for the fact that I wrote something and sent it in. God bless Faithwriters for giving me the opportunity.
I've won writing contests, had stories and poems published, edited and wrote for two newsletters one church and one business and did business writing in my job as executive assistant.
After a long illness I found Faithwriters and felt God nudging me so I joined at the platinum level.
I now am writing on a regular basis and hope to complete several projects this year.
I feel like this is God's business and I am just along for the ride!
Over the years I have raised four "all boy" boys who married and gave me a grandson and six granddaughters. Our family grew by one last year with the addition of Piper, our great granddaughter. In addition to writing I've taught SS, Piano, traveled, sang with two Southern Gospel groups, was church pianiast for over 18 years. Recently, I learned about a craft called Quilling and next week will begin teaching it to residents of a nursing home.
My goal in life is to be a Handmaiden of the Lord in all I do.
