I was born on the Island of St. Kitts. I am 23 years old and my hobbies are reading, singing, dancing, and writing poetry. I have a six year old daughter by the name of Keiana S. de’Lande. I begun writing at the age of 5 and all through high school I continued to fine tune my grammar and skills in literature. I have two published poems. My poem entitled Friends was published by the International Library of Poetry in one of their collections called Twilight Musings, and another poem entitled Lonely was published in The Best Poems and Poets of 2005. Poetry is very important to me because it is way that helps me express my true self. It takes me to another place where only word exists. One of my biggest goals in life is to publish my poems and write a book that will be an inspiration to those that read my work. Poetry has become a way for me to tell the world about my insights and it continues to be a necessary part of my everyday life.
