You’re in a meeting.
Me - the parking lot.
You’re working on a clear goal.
….I’m not.
I’m on my own now
For getting stuff done.
When it comes to our
Income – you’re the one.
I love my freedom,
Please don’t get me wrong.
I must have income,
Or not keep it for long.
I try to clear my mind
For things that matter.
Wife, kids, church, God, and
Mostly the latter.
With those as my start,
My tasks are easy.
Convince my self-heart;
It still doesn’t agree.
If that was all my life
In misery I’d wallow.
My two hearts in strife,
My God-heart I’ll follow.
