TITLE: The crowded road By Sharne Mostert 10/05/08 |
|
I’m walking down this street again
here I rarely find peace.
All along the road I see
scattered pieces of broken lives.
It’s almost always dark here
no light, no sun, no shine.
I stumble and fall and feel around
For something I can hold.
Dreams seem to fade away
wishes don’t exist.
Only cold, hard reality
as companion for my thoughts.
The further I go upon this road
the less love and beauty mean.
They’re only part of memories
my heart sometimes recall.
Where can I find a crossroad
from witch I can leave this place.
To take a turn and change my coarse
even loose some of this load.
My eyes I try to raise once more
to maybe see a exit.
A way off of this crowded road
full of human shapes and forms.
A tree before me, I behold
that will never again bear leaves.
The wood has born the blood of One
that holds the key to life.
Now as I look upon this sight
of love so undescribed.
I find that I am free again
to hope and dream and fly.
