Standing Needing A Prayer
(A warning from God)
Solemnly swearing to tell the whole truth, but experiencing no freedom.
Neglecting my true love to please another.
Allocating resources to feed my flesh.
Perpetrating that I am his child, but never obeying his commands.
Seeking the things of this world instead the King and the Kingdom.
Needlessly worrying about things I can not change.
Asking amiss and wondering why God is not impressed.
Protecting my heart while ignoring God’s passion.
Sacrificing but failing to see that obedience is what God is after.
Never-ending search for peace in people, places, and pleasures.
Appeasing my flesh and insulting Christ’s death.
Professing Christ as Savior, but never allowing him first place.
Suffocation leading to devastation.
Never allowing God to perfect me,
Assuming my life is my own,
Placing gifts before him but never recognizing his throne.
Standing tall, but ready to fall.
Naked and ashamed
Acknowledging, I’ve tried it all.
Please, God help me, heed your call!!
One second, one moment in time,
That’s all it takes,
to change your direction,
your family, and your destiny!
Stop
Now
And
Pray!
