To whom it may concern,
I regret I must inform you,
That I’ll be absent from the way today.
I’ve chosen another path,
Turned around the corner,
But don’t worry,
I’ll be back again.
I’ll just play with sin awhile,
And then I’ll turn around,
I’ll come back and He’ll be waiting,
You see,
He’s faithful, Love and kind.
It’s really not important,
I just want to run away,
I’m running from His truth,
But don’t worry,
I’ll be back again.
The other path seems so easy,
I’m just sick of trusting,
and perseverance,
I just want a break.
I’ll just take today off,
And I’ll go another way,
But I’ll come back tomorrow,
So don’t worry,
I’ll be back again.
Just for today,
I won’t read his Word,
I’ll listen to the World instead,
And let them direct my way.
Then maybe I’ll come back tomorrow,
Or in a few days for sure,
I’ll come back and He’ll be waiting,
So don’t worry,
I’ll be back again.
You see I never listened,
To what He said within His Word,
That His mercy leads us to repentance,
So I’ll turn away,
But I’ll be back for sure.
I’ll follow my own path for a while,
Then admit my mistake,
He is always kind right,
So don’t worry,
I’ll be back again.
I mean this path’s not always easy,
I just want a break,
He’s seen what I’m going through,
He’ll understand for sure.
I’ll just go a little way,
Only for a while,
Just until things seem easy,
So don’t worry,
Then I’ll be back again.
You see I’ve forgotten what He said,
That He is always with us,
That He is faithful unto the end,
We just need to trust.
So I’ve turned to my own judgements,
I’ll come back in a week or two,
I’m just going on a holiday,
So don’t worry,
I’ll come back again.
Where am I now,
I feel so far away,
I’ve forgotten everything He taught me,
For I chose another way.
I’m not on the right path now,
And I’m not sure how to get there,
The road that leads unto repentance,
But don’t worry,
I’ll come back one day.
So I’ve turned away it seems,
Seemed such a small decision at the time,
One choice followed by another,
And now I’m far from that straight and narrow line.
I forgot His words of caution,
That He is faithful yes but just,
That His mercy leads unto repentance,
But I’m not worried,
I’ll come back one day.
And so,
To whom it may concern,
I regret I must inform you,
I’ll be absent from the way today.
I’ve turned around the corner,
Chose another way,
But I’ll come back tomorrow,
So don’t worry,
It’s only for today,
I’ll be back again.
