Lord,

Sometimes it used to hurt me so to look inside and see,
There was no room for You, for I was all filled up with me.

And when I heard you calling, "Child, come lay your burden down",
I kept right on acting like, I hadn't heard a sound.

Suddenly, Your glorious love came piercing through the gloom;
Although I'd often said, "For You, my heart has no room".

Your tender love brought the Light that brightened up my day,
And when I was lost in darkness, it helped me find my way.

Your grace was that special key, that slowly unlocked my heart;
I was out of options, and You gave me a new place to start.

Now, I want to be an empty vessel, filled up by You;
So, Your name may be glorified in all I say and do.

Fill me so full of You, that when they turn to look at me;
You and Your sweet love are all they're ever going to see.
