Reminding me I’m here for Your plan…
not mine.
Showing me I let the world get in the way.
Making me realize I lost track of Your time.
You’ve reminded me that I’m living borrowed days.
I’m reminded that I live only because for me
Your life You gave.
So now I ask You;
put me in a place where all I can do is pray.
Strip me down to nothing
and take all I have away.
Take everything until all that’s left is You.
Lord, help me to be still
so You can freely move.
Break me down,
crush me,
and take away this crown!
Shatter me now
and rebuild me into someone new!
Tell me where I should go
and what You’d have me do…
I’ll go to the end of the earth
if that’s what it takes to get closer to You.
So hand me my cross
for its weight is mine to bear.
Overwhelm me again in Your Presence.
Tear down my walls
so You can draw near.
Remind me again why I’m here today,
how this is Your life and not mine.
Show me how to push the world out of the way
and do all things in Your perfect time.
Remind me again that these are borrowed days.
Now I give you my whole life because for me
Your life You freely gave.
