TITLE: My Treasure Is You By Amber Riebe 10/30/07 |
|
I'd like to get some outside views on it and suggestions of whether it would be good to post in the regular section.
I'm also debating on adding a chorus to make it a song.
I’ve come here today
with nothing less than myself as Your offering.
I don’t have much when it comes to material wealth;
but all I have is Yours, Lord, I offer to You myself.
Take my entire mind and fill it with You.
Take all of my heart and make it beat with Your truth.
Take my spirit and soul within Your hands;
take all of me, take everything I am.
I can’t offer gold, silver, or jewels;
but I can give all of my heart to You.
Take this life; it’s all I have to give.
Lord, take my life so I may forever live.
I don’t want gold, silver, or jewels;
all the treasure I want, I find in You.
Take me and mold me and make me like You.
Break me and make me holy and true.
Lord, I give to You my thoughts and mind.
I will give You anything, take everything that’s mine.
Take my thoughts and replace them with Yours.
Fill me with You right down to my core.
I don’t have much when it comes to what I possess;
but I willingly give myself and nothing less.
I may not have much on this earth; but all the riches in the world
don’t come close to measuring what Your worth.
A price can’t be put on love, wisdom, and truth.
I don’t want what this world offers, my treasure is You.
I have the only treasure I will ever need.
Where my treasure is, there my heart and thoughts will also be.
I don’t have much by the world’s view;
but I confess to all who will hear, my treasure is You.
I don’t have much for material things; but I’ve come here today
with nothing less than myself as Your offering.
You, my God, are precious treasure to me.
You’re the only One I will ever need.
Where my treasure is,
there my heart and thoughts will always be.
