We must trust Him when it seems, as if we might have lost our way;
And the thunderstorms of life, have dimmed the brightness of our day.
When we've lost sight of Calvary and just how much it cost,
And it seems we've reached our limit, of heartaches, grief and loss.
Trust Him when we've lost those things, that seemed so very dear;
And we cry out for comfort, and yet no one seems to hear.
Jesus knows our every sorrow, and the heartbreak that we feel;
For He's been there before us, and He knows it's oh, so real.
No matter how long before we turn to Him, in all our grief and pain;
He's always ready to comfort us, when we call out His name.
Trust Him, for He's there, with arms held open wide,
Where amidst the storms of life, we can run and hide.
We can take our refuge, in the shadow of His wings;
Until the storms be passed by and our hearts begin to sing.
Trust Him, for he cares for you and He wants to carry your load.
He wants so much to walk with you, along life's lonesome road.
He never leaves us or forsakes us, He never turns away;
If we feel lost and lonely, we're the ones who've gone astray.
Take his hand and never let go, as long as you're in this life;
For he's the only one who can lead us, through the shadow of death to life
