any christian that listens to music and has opinions pertaining to music
Why is it that there are so many people (christians and non-christians alike) who consider chritian rock to be a paradox? Simply put, because nobody can get past Elvis' wiggling hips and the Beatles' long hair. They have a hard time accepting the fact that music is the vehicle and the musician is merely a driver.
Although the first generation of rockers were drug addicts, and nymphos, their influences were country, blues, and folk artists. They wrote about what they knew about and what they cared about.
It's not like artists of other genres lived like boy and girl scouts. Many country singers died of drug abuse or went to prison. It just goes to show that you cant judge a CD by it's cover.
