This is a poem based on Hebrews 10:24-25
Dear Friend,
We have never met,
But I wanted to encourage you,
Lest you should forget.
I know this path we travel,
Is not an easy one to take,
Filled with struggles and temptations,
Full of many mistakes to make.
I fear you have forgotten,
What once you held so dear,
Thrown away a treasure,
This is what I fear.
For once as you’ll remember,
With confidence in place,
Looking to the future,
Was how you ran this race.
Yet now I’ve seen your pain,
Clearly displayed within your eyes,
And I fear you’ll fall away,
Captured by this worldly pride.
So I wanted to encourage you,
This is why I write,
To reach out and ask for help,
To continue in the light.
Let us again consider,
How we as one in Christ,
May care for one another,
As we travel in the light.
Let us be attentive,
To one another’s needs,
As we travel once more together,
With hope and loving deeds.
So dear friend I urge you,
That you would not forsake,
The privilege we have in meeting,
Along this path we take.
For on this road we travel,
We’re not meant to be alone,
Yet as family together,
We walk the way He’s shown.
So once more my friend,
I come to write to you,
That you would seek his kingdom first,
And follow what is true.
Along this road we travel,
There are many paths to take,
So I feel that I must warn you,
About the choices that you make.
Once more we come together,
That we may continue on,
With hope and perseverance,
Following the way He’s gone.
Looking to the future,
Is how we run this race,
In Christ as one together,
With confidence in place.
So as we continue on,
We have Him to us assured,
Who remains faithful to the end,
In His arms we soar.
So to my friend,
Whom I have never met,
I wanted to encourage you,
So you would not forget.
I know this path we travel,
Is not an easy one to take,

I wanted to encourage you,
To walk together along this road,
And hold fast what is true.
