“She’s coming! She’s coming!” The little girl was running through the crowd. “Did you hear?” She yelled to anyone who would listen. “She will be here soon!”
“I can’t wait… “
Everyone was buzzing with the news. The little girl twirled around with excitement. Her Grandma watched her with amusement. The Grandma knew exactly how she felt. She was trembling her self with excitement and considered giving in to the uncontrolled joy. A giggle escaped her lips. Looking around to see if anyone noticed; she threw her head back and laughed. A piece of her was coming home. The little girl ran to her and they spun around together laughing.
No one laughed at them or thought they were absurd. Because each one of them had experienced this excitement and overwhelming joy themselves. And even though “she” was not one of theirs they were excited about her homecoming.
“Oh Grandma, I am so excited about meeting her again. Getting to hold her hands and show her everything.”
“And she will be excited to see you I’m sure. It hurt her so much to be apart from you.”
The little girl giggled “we won’t have to worry about that anymore will we?”
The grandma giggled herself “no my dear no more goodbyes”
Suddenly the light around them seemed to grow brighter. “It’s time Grandma hurry. This is one of my favorite parts.” Moving to the front of the crowd. The little girl and the Grandma began to cheer with everyone. They watched as the woman being led by the Angel began to change. Her bald head grew beautiful blonde hair, her face smoothed of all blemishes, every part of her looked brand new. The woman began to cry and everyone knew it was because of an overwhelming joy that had never been felt before.
The Angel led her to the middle of the crowd where a man waited patiently smiling. The woman began to bow but the man stopped her. “Welcome my good and faithful servant.” To the woman these words were whispered in her heart as he took his hand and wiped away her tears. But everyone heard him as if he had whispered in their own hearts. The crowd cheered as he turned her towards the little girl and Grandma.
The woman began to run “Momma!” The Grandma embraced her daughter tightly.
When they released the Grandma stepped back revealing the little girl. “Someone has been waiting for you.”
“Momma”, the little girl yelled as she ran to the woman.
The woman picked her up in her arms and began to twirl around with her. “Pamula.”
