There is a place I go when things get bad
A place where no one cares if I'm sad.
I don't have to put on airs or pretend,
aAplace where I have a friend,
Who listens and doesn't need to speak,
There are no secrets that I have to keep.
A place where I can be the real me,
And no one judes when they see,
Here I can let all my feelings go,
And nobody, nobody ever knows
What hurt and pain I take there,
The way I reach this place is through prayer.
When I'm there I'm at peace.
It is a place I really feel safe,
Far from all my insecurites and fears,
A place where I don"t have to hide my tears.
It's into God"s presence That I run,
And my friend is Jesus His Son.
They cleanse my soul and wrap their loving arms around me,
So when things overwhelm, it's to them I flee
And when I leave, just so I won't forget,
They give me the precious gift of the Holy Spirit.
So when you feel you have to run,
Let your path be to the Three In One,
It's easy to get there,
Just bow your head in prayer.
