When I read the book of Psalms, I can relate to so many things the people sing or cry out to The Lord. I wrote my own Psalms to God during a very hard trial as I was going through.
O Lord! You know how hard my life is here
and you know what I go through each day
The enemy is out to get me
so I cry out to you and pray

There is sickness, sadness and violence around
and I’m hanging on by a thread
But you Oh Lord! you protect me
and you save me from horror and dread

There are people who work for the devil
and they confuse me with what they believe
Oh Lord I beg you to deal with them
and let me not be deceived.

I will follow you and obey you
for your goodness and mercy is free
Reveal your holy word Oh Lord
give me eyes so I may see

You hold my future and eternal life
with plans that I don’t always know
And you promise I will be rewarded
and in your kingdom I will go

I will praise you Lord Almighty
and remember your word today
You give me hope and comfort
as long as I trust and obey
