TITLE: The Dead of Winter By Glorey Wooldridge 02/04/07 |
|
The branches
are barren with a covering of snow.
Dead to the world,
except for the One who sees
what is happening beneath.
Blown by the winds,
held by an invisible hand.
Awaiting growth that comes
with the change of pages.
Drawing moisture and strength,
being readied to stretch
toward the rays of the sun.
A season of silent preparation,
resulting in the covering
of leaves and bloom.
Admired and appreciated
by sojourners who know
and understand the seasons
of life.
