It was 5:00 in the morning, the house was just beginning to settle. Crack, pop, bang, it was an old home and it made loud strange noises. Each time the house would crack, Maggie would stir in her sleep, she was comforted by the sounds. BAM! this time Maggie not only heard it but she actually felt it. The pain was unbearable. Had those sounds been the house all along, she thought as she lay there waiting for the next attack from some unseen force that had been hiding in the darkness. What was it? Had someone come into her room without her knowledge? If so, why? What had she done that would warrant an attack of such degree? FEAR kept her perfectly still, to keep from making any sounds that would attract her attackers attention, she tried not to breath . Maybe he will think I am dead, she thought. FEAR had gripped her entire body, the sweat rolled off of her face in huge drops. She prayed that they would not be heard as they hit the pillow. Oh God, please send someone to help me, she prayed in a silent whisper. WHAM! This time the pain was so intense Maggie let out a scream. There it was again, a knife of the sharpest measure had been plunged into her heart, it seemed as if the attacker was enjoying her pain as he rotated the knife round and round. Unconsiousness was only a breath away. "Lord God forgive me for all my sins. I call you into my life, be with me this day. I love you Jesus". It was all Maggie knew to do. Her body began to give way to the darkness that now subdued her mind.
"Ma'am, Ma'am, can you hear me? Maggie began to open her eyes with caution, bringing them to a half mast slit. "Ma'am, I am a paramedic, you've just had a heart attack, can you..........the voice drowns out as she was again beckoned by the darkness, her thoughts left behind in the room..somewhere.

What appears to be real to some people , may in fact be an illusion of the mind. Fear it can either make you or break you.
