TITLE: Jesus By Robert Ford 11/30/06 |
|
On The outskirts of this town
Not knowing at the time
He was King without a crown
He was born to a Shepard
His wife that God made pure
Not knowing at the time
For everything He was the cure
The name given was Jesus
On him so much would befall
Not knowing at the time
He was savoir for one and all
He would hide across the land
So his enemies could not retrieve
Not knowing at the time
In him they did not believe
He began to teach the masses
The sick He would touch to heal
He knew by now the time had come
His identity He would not conceal
He was praised and loved by many
Yet feared and hated by many more
He knew by now the time had come
For what his Father had in store
He was ridiculed, beaten and cursed
He was nailed upon a cross
He knew by now if you believe
Your life will never be lost
