This was written after a sermon on how God should be enough alone, even if we lost our families, jobs, everything. God should be the source of our joy.
Eternal Joy

Joy is not here
A wonderful marriage, a great man
He helps at home, he works hard
He does the dishes and mows the yard
Yet try as much as he possibly can
Joy is not here

Joy is not here
A wonderful job, exciting career
From sending faxes to being the boss
Helping others with a gain or a loss
Yet shining out among my peers
Joy is not here

Joy is not here
Wealth of the world, a fortune is mine
Making more money than ever I dreamed
Learning stocks, bonds and investment schemes
Yet even with money, all this time
Joy is not here

Joy is not here
Beautiful children depending on me
A son, a daughter, more precious than gold
Teaching, encouraging as they grow old
Yet something here lacks eternity
Joy is not here

Joy is HERE!
Joy at last I have finally found
Jesus died so that I may live
For me, yes ME, his life he did give
Bittersweet my tears and his blood hit ground
