Oh sun, oh sun shine down on me
As I travel from this place
To my home beyond the sea
Thanks to His amazing grace
I leave this land
That for so long I have trod
To spend eternity
With almighty God
Though I look weary
My skin withered and worn
My spirit may seem empty
My soul may seem torn
The winds of time have battered
Left their mark upon this face
I feel nothing but joy in my heart
As I go to a better place
I take nothing with me
As I journey from this earth
For all will be provided
Upon my heavenly birth
The only wish I have this day
My last to spend with you
Is for you to live to the fullest
Gods will you will do
Then one day I shall see you
And with a smile upon my face
I'll welcome you with open arms
To that great and wonderful place
