Softly caressing your hair and face
Watching as you drift off to sleep
Realizing that without you here
Forever my heart would weep
Changing my life more than you know
With love, patience and grace
My heart is capable of loving again
By you, mended and put back into place
I thank the Lord day after day
For sending such an Angel to me
A heart bound by anger, hurt and distrust
By your love was finally set free
I hope as you dream you feel my love
Let it blanket you and hold you tight
Reassure your heart that I will be there
Embracing you all through the night
In the dawn when I awake
I'm thankful for the first sight I see
I admire the beauty of My Sleeping Angel
That our Lord sent to help rescue me
