TITLE: Hey America By Robert Ford 04/16/06 |
|
If my name is mentioned most say "Who's He"?
It's been a long time if ever most have thought about me
You live in a place that you think is so good
You take it forgranted and think that you should
You do not think or believe it was me that created everything
Right down to a tree
You have a greed problem, your morals are shot
Things like the Bible, My Son and Myself aren't even given a thought
You drink, do drugs and don't care with who you have sex
Yet if you hear the name "God" you think it's a hex
You took Prayer from school denying My Young
It's only in My Temples where My name can be sung
You took away displaying the Commandments I gave
Is there anything about Me that you will save
It seems My Sons Birthday is next on your list
"What" "Happy Holidays" not "Merry Christmas"?
His name was in the greeting to help the children understand
Now it seems that his name is going to be banned
This upsets Me greatly and soon it will come to be
That I burn you to the ground and sink you deep into the Sea
When you sit down to feast you do not say grace
You don't mention me to your brother afraid you'll lose face
"In God We Trust" wasn't that what most of this country based
Now everywhere I look My name has to be replaced
When the time has come I'll make sure you know it's Me
That sent you burning down into the Sea
In your last thoughts you'll realize you are to blame
It was you over the years that has forsaken My Name
To refresh your memory and to let you know
It was I "GOD" that sent you to the fiery pits below
