If today were my last day on earth
There are things that I would do
Things I would take time to say
That I've never said to you
I'd make a point to tell my friends
How much they meant to me
And family that have been estranged
I'd make some time to see
Some things that I've been putting off
I'd take care of those too
I wouldn't want to leave behind
So much for you to do
I'd make sure all my bills were paid
My funeral would be arranged
If this were my last day on earth
Many people would be changed
I'd spend a lot of quiet time
Alone in silent prayer
Making sure my soul was safe
If this were my final hour
As beautiful as this earth may be
I've been very happy here
But the home that I am going too
Is awesome beyond compare
I'd regret that I hadn't spent more time
Just relaxing in the sun
I'd regret not knowing my family
It would have been such fun
They are grown up now and on their own
So that chance has come and gone
If I had the change to live again
I wouldn’t have been so alone
So with that said it really could
Be your last day on earth
Think about what you would do
Who would you call first?
What would you do, if it were you?
And God gave you a chance
One final day to make amends
One final day to dance
Life is precious no doubt
When it will end we do not know
Don’t take it all for granted
Make things right before you go.
If this were your last day on earth
You’ll get to heaven and look back
You’ll smile and say I did it all
In that, your final act.
