When Adam has a choice to with whom be left, he decides to be on side of his companionship. He has a time and opportunity to wait and confess/witness to Lord and explain all truth. The Bible reveals us, he did blamed the woman and that she gave him a fruit from the tree. Adam by doing this way, rise my concern about a decision making process for the first human being. Which side is right? Live along Eve or stand with her? Adam has a moment to chose his stand before facing Lord's presence. He was older, wiser, and the first human being on Earth, walked and talked with Living God, received first orders and rules, he has opportunity to show himself rightful. But he can not separate his revelation of missed part (woman) of his soul, that brought to him, satisfaction of living human being. His decision was based on reality of life, take a responsibility for their action, before God and faced Creator's judgement.
Genesis 1:27 NIV
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Genesis 2:15-17 NIV
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
Genesis 3:6-7
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Those two individuals, Adam and Eve, lived at that time( ~ 6000 thousand years ago) in a presence of God, but we learn from Bible, their desire (at least for Eve) was to concentrate at satisfaction Eve's feeling by doing, revial, and probing a new things. So, Eve’s desire to felt unknowing emotions create/develop a condition that she looks for place to experience of it. Over a time she finally disobeys' to Adam and discover the new voice which direct her to change her position. By enjoing a freedom her soul became divided/corrupt. Which voice to listed: God's, Adam's, or new tempting/appealing voice. She finally broke covenant, disobey Adam, and then in her action placea foundation to destroy trust between Adam and God. When God asked a question to Adam about their location, his respond was unclear, now he sided himself with Eve, and shows his position in which he united with Eve. I personally think, that it happen because he has still fresh memory of single life, as a first man with human kind limitation, and his emotional revelation of her physical presence/existence that will reveal's missed comfort and harmony in his life. In this moment, by choosing a side (with God [he can wait for God and turn Eve to Him], or with woman [eat fruit and facing its circumstances]) is a powerful Adam's decision, which is based on reflection the image of God at the first man. God Father is a lover of his creation. He did all perfect but left a freedom of choice for humankind.
So, the Son of God (man from heaven) died for his bride, called the Church, because Savior’s physical life was a mission to restore, or stand up on side (position of Adam [man from earth]) of the lost people (lost Eve).
I believe in this episode we see the nature of our Heavenly Father in showing love and grace to all humans.
What you think about it? Can we judge Adam for his decision or justify him as a man with strong will.
