The Light of My Life
An enormous burst of light,
Piercing the night,
Bursting the darkness asunder.
The great, ‘I Am’
Looked upon nothing
That was void of light and life.
He said to himself,
“I will make that which is not,
Into that which I want.”
God commanded “Let there be light!”
God smiled and said, “This is good.”
Thus God separated light from darkness.
God looked at my world,
So dark and void,
No purpose, no life, nor light.
Then God said, “What is now, shall not be,
I command darkness to flee,
My light saturate thee!”
Suddenly I could see!
Not what I was,
But what I could be!
Just like in the book of creation,
God re-created me!
And the ‘Light of the World’
Became, the light of my life!
