Genetically connected, but in some places, more hair
Our moods and our habits, interests and voice
May give the idea that our minds make the same choice
But I know it's not true and that is what this is about
We may spat, debate and trash talk to challenge who may have clout
I get it, discussion about spiritual things are totally off limits
When you give up on the thought process for a few minutes
For all that I love on this celestial ball
Not all of us are predestined or hear God' call
Some reject God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Unworthy, I am a sinner, not to boast
I yearn and I struggle for opportunities anew
To share what God has done in my life, just for you
I am not perfect, but I've had some of the same questions
And I only share to spare you harsh and repeat lessons
The enemy, our adversary, knows us like a book
Roams about like a roaring lion, deceiving us with just a look
You mention other religions but never mention the same God
It is certainly my hope you have His approval or nod
I am keenly aware that the world is marinated in sin
And it is in our hearts and minds, where it creeps in
The Holy Bible is the devinely inspired Word of God
Despite what you may think, just don't walk, where others have trod
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever
Don't forget it, it's the one relationship you don't ever want to sever
With God for you, who can possible be against you
No formidable weapon will succeed, that is made against you
Seven spiritual weapons in God' arsenal, He has given
We are to don them and use them daily, just for livin
God purposed us for His relationship and in His image
This life is short and it is not a game or a scrimmage
So it is our hope, Mom and I
That we see you some day in heaven and not have to cry
Maybe meet my Mom or your other earthly Grandmother
She'd be honored and you'd find, that she is not like many others
All through your life, God must be first
I have made this mistake and to sin I have given birth
I have broken all the commandments, no room to judge
So I write this poem with a pure heart and mind or without a smudge
This unspoken letter is not meant for your harm
But I pray that many angels, in His service, will sound an alarm
I am not worthy, but by His grace I am given
A new life, because of Christ, and well worth MY livin
Sometimes I can't sing and sometimes I can't speak
Because I'm overwhelmed with what God has done for me, tweaked
It is a desire of our hearts, that you are blessed and not cursed
Don't complain about your physical ailments, it could be worse
Many talents, God to you and your siblings, He has given
So with them, we wish you would worship the Lamb, that at Easter, has risen
When Mom and I pass, or to go home to be with our Lord
We know we will be missed, but you must go on and use wisely God' Sword
God has given us our many talents, gifts and eternal inheritence
But only to those that have come to that place of sincere repentance
To Louis, Emily, Josh and those that are close
Keep reading God' Word you'll find the answers He chose
At this moment, God loves you more than you know
So I charge you all, put your gifts back into His service to sow
This poem I'm writing, is right now, to you, unknown
But someday you'll read it and understand it maybe only after I go
I love you all dearly, Jakob and all the other grandchildren too
So would you accuse me of harrassment when in reality I have already told you
Some of you may not get there, Heaven, you're unequally yoked
Because of other things in this world, your minds have been soaked
The choices are easy, one of two
Yet some may go to hell, in ignorance and appear to have no clue
