You love so freely, You healed them, everyone
Your sinless heart cries out in pain
The Father turns away, a tear He sheds just one
As You hang upon the tree it threatens rain
The priests laugh at the King of Jews
Mary knew this day would surely come
The Disciples all gone except for a few
Judas hangs from a tree in his new home
Three crosses stand upon the mount at Calvary
The thief laughs at the king he never knew
The other cries out; speak to the Father for me
You assure him weakly today you will be with me in paradise
The Son of God so weak cries out, “It is done”
The sky darkens, the earth rumbles and shakes
The Holy of Holies rips it is no longer one
The Romans turn to the thieves and both their legs do they break
Joseph asks for Your body and in a tomb do You lay
For Three days You are gone but then You awake
No longer does death hold the sinless King
Someday He will return for both you, and me
Praise to God the Father do we all sing
For King Jesus has set us all free
Halleluiah, God saved man; the Angels all sing.
“Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
(Revelation 22:21-22, NKJV)
