Our home was in Cordova, TN.way out in the country. Our neighbor had a barn and some horses on 10 acres of land. He would encourage us to ride his horses to keep them tame.
So one late afternoon Theresa and I go to the barn to retrieve to bridals and two horses.
Being in the mood for a little excitement we had decided to go horseback riding (bare-back).
These horses were hugh-Clysdales.Once we got in the middle of the pasture Theres'a horse went wild and made a beeline towards the forrest. My horse quickly followed.
As we were nearing the edge of the woods I yelled to Theresa to duck her headand to lean forward on her horse.
I soon lost sight of Theresa's horse as it entered the woodline. A moment later my horse entered the woodline too.
About 200 yards in I notice Theresa was dangling by the head of her hair that was stuck in an overhead treebranch. Her feet wasnt touching the ground. She forgot to duck on and the branch had pulled her off the horse.
I was able to jump off my horse when it stalled in front of Theresa
My sister kept screaming at me to get her down kicking all the while. After I made sure she was all right I busted out laughing.
The sight of her dangling like that was so funny it took me a few minutes to retain my composure.
I freed her long tangled hair after snapping a limb or two.Once on the ground she said "That was'nt funny". I than told her that I didnt laugh until I was sure she was'ny hurt.
I laughed and giggled about the incident all the way home.Theresa really was'nt offended and laughed too.
So much for riding wild horses Ha-ha!!!
