When you live inside a fish bowl
all your sins the world can see.
You’re stuck as which way to go
you are trapped and can’t be free.
Each day the tears come streaming
they’re torrid and fall like rain.
Your sins talk to you incessantly
they drive you quite insane.
Isn’t there any place to hide
maybe in the recesses of my mind?
But then the words go on and on
to me they’re never kind.
There is someone here to tend me.
He quenches my dying thirst.
He stops my self destruction
He has given me new birth.
Now I finally breathe so easy
His wings are about me.
He shows me how to get along
He has set my spirit free.
He fills my mind with the good news
commanding me to go and speak.
To help the ones that have lost their way
the strong, the poor and weak.
Redemption is no stranger
to those that seek to pray.
All you need to do is try
in love God shows the way.
You’re no longer in that fish bowl
no longer are you alone.
He puts hope back into your life
hand and hand He takes you home.
