She runs,
desperate to get away,
desperate to be found,
knowing that she runs from desire.

He waits,
yearning for her to turn,
to run into his arms,
knowing he can fulfil her desire.

She runs,
desperate to find him,
unable to find him,
not knowing how to relinquish control.

He waits,
calling out her name,
calling her to himself,
standing with arms open wide.

She stops,
hearing her name on the wind,
hearing the love in his voice,
she turns and faces her desire.

He waits,
smiling as she comes,
arms wide to receive her,
ready to fulfil all her needs.

She runs
to that which she had run from,
to that which she had searched for,
toward fulfilment and love.

He celebrates
the return of beloved daughter,
the achievement of his loved one,
the beginning of her journey.
