“Men of Promise” (part one)



Good Morning to you Dear Friends,



“Men of Promise”



So many great things have happened on the MMC09 weekend, obvious that it is hard not to talk about. Yes, the weekend was in the Presents of our Almighty without a doubt.



The excitements were tangible amongst all the men on the farm and also let us be Thankful for those people who had stayed behind but prayed for us to the Lord to have more and more men being led to Christ. And those prayers were answered, I can assure you that!!



Going for the second time to this wonderful Godly event, I was just as excited as it was for the first time. Correction, I didn’t really know what to expect a year ago but being “knocked out” by the Power of the Holy Spirit, yes I become awoken. And the truth is that I was there for my self last year. But this year I was more excited to see and be with people who have never gone on this journey and I was hoping from the Lord that He will make use of us to help wherever He Decide for us to help.



“Men of Promise”



I was part of a camper group with great-great guys being fired up for the Lord and it was a privilege to be on the “home ground” of Shalom Ministries. And God as always being Faithful, He did bring us a few “first timer” for this journey. Love, fellowshipping, worshipping were evident amongst us and the support for each other. On our return to our camp after the first session (Friday night), we were all overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted but very happy. Being in the camp and being a man, we had to look after our physical hunger as well, while our spiritual hunger was fed already for the day, so we begin to cook and “braai” as we say in our wonderful languages here. During the packing and preparing of the meals, one of the younger man come to me and said the following..”George, do you know what happened to me today?” I said to my friend, “My Brother, I am not so sure so you tell me” I answered. Honestly, I was not really listening at this time as I was busy helping with the preparation for our supper but I was listening with one ear. My friend than told me..”George, I give my life to Jesus tonight.”



And now, I was listening! With fogged up eyes, I was looking at this young man and instead of saying anything, I just give him a big hug. Thank you Lord!!



Another Journey in Christ has begun for another man. And as always, Glory is to God.



And the Lord said:



“My Boy, if you enjoy the harvesting of the souls, than just keep bringing them to Me.”
