Prophecy
The Middle East Conflict and Beyond
"Behold, I have told you in advance."-Mat. 24:25
Gen. 16:12, 27:40a-The Arab peoples who comprise the descendants of Ishmael and Esau would, by nature, tend towards violence. They would be as apt to kill each other as they would those outside the fold. Radical Islam is not the source of this violence. It is, in actuality, a by-product inherent within their character. If the fruit of violence did not manifest itself under this name, it would have simply come from some other source under some other name. The god of Islam is very much a religion of legalism and death. How often do we witness violent Arab mobs chanting, "Death to......!"
In contrast, the God of our Bible exhorts us to "Choose life!" Truly, the differences are as great as life and death. On the contrary, their belief system must be challenged, rather than appeased. They, too, must be shown the way of salvation, for God has stated back in the Old Testament that an inheritance awaits them as well, to all those who repent and believe in the true way of salvation. In the meantime, try as they might, the Arab nations alone shall not be able to militarily defeat the nation of Israel. Furthermore, nothing short of the Spirit of God shall be able to destroy the natural (or supernatural, if you will) enmity which exists between the Arabs and the Jews.
Zech. 12:2-3-It should be quite evident that, regardless of what Israel does, and no matter how hard she tries to do what is right in the world's eyes, the nations, as a whole, will never approve, nor accept her. She can do no right. except, to cease to exist as a nation. The world would just as soon not to have to deal with her, or Jews scattered abroad, any longer. Sound familiar? And so, in this age, there can be no real peace with her neighbors, much less the rest of the world, except that of short lived respites of peace, consummating in the ultimate "false peace," brokered by the Antichrist.
Jer. 30, Ezek. 37, Dan. 11, Rev. 12-Not until the coming Antichrist, with all his deception and power, will the nation of Israel be defeated and her remnant, once again, scattered throughout the world. In fact, the Antichrist's very seat of power will be located in Jerusalem (Rev. 11:8, 14:8). However, as proved to be the case with the earliest Church persecution recorded in the Book of Acts immediately following Stephen's martyrdom, the result of this persecution and dispersion will bring about the salvation of the House of Israel scattered among the nations.
It will also be during this time that the Church will ultimately fulfill her obligation in bringing (exhibiting) salvation to the Jews, a broken people, ready and eager to hear and receive their spiritual inheritance. The true Church and Israel, who is truly Israel, shall be made manifest during this time.
Amos 9:7-15, Is. 66:19-20, Ezek.20:34-44, Deut. 30:1-6-And after all these things, the blessings and especially the curses described in Lev. 26 and Deut. 28, shall God restore and establish forever the nation of Israel to the Land......."and none shall make them afraid."
