Our stomach aches when we are hungry and if we have food we quickly eat it, if not we pray to the Lord to provide us food, how about our spiritual life, do we ever feel hungry, do we pray to God to fill us with His Word and Spirit so we may stay healthy spiritually and be victorious at all times?
"I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die."
John 6:48-50 (New King James Version)
Dear One!!! Even though provision of our daily needs is on the priority list for the Lord God, I believe spiritual hunger is also very important.
Feeding ourselves with 'The precious Word of God' daily is very important and vital.
Prayer should not be seasonal (for we pray more in our season of distress and pain), rather it should be a daily and frequent activity.
For you God should not just be a global or a community or a family God, He is your God, He is personal to you.
God did provide manna to the people of Israel so they may complete their exodus without any trouble, however due to being spiritually weak many did not reach the promised land.
We can eat and drink and easily go to hell, thus more importantly we need to measure our spiritual health, our relationship with God.
When on the measuring machine we try to measure the amount of calories and proteins which the doctor has suggested and which we are so eager to come up to, let's not forget the bread of life, the spiritual manna, referred by 'Our Creator' and 'King', our loving Lord Jesus Christ.
Be strong!!! Spiritually and physically.
