I’m stuck in traffic on a busy day;
Sometimes, nothing seems to go my way.
I’d loose this job, but there are bills to pay..
I live life dreaming of my get-away.

A quiet beach, a mountain home..
Some place, some time I can call my own.
I long to linger, but I’m bound to roam..
For someone else the rustling leaves, the foam.

I can’t be anywhere, but where I am.
Its taken years from me to understand..
Whatever happens, You are in command,
And I can’t be anywhere, but where I am.

When I was younger, I thought I knew
Where I was going, just what I would do.
Now I am older I know this is true..
My plans are nothing if not from You.

I can’t be anywhere, but where I am.
Its taken years for me to understand
Whatever happens, it’s part of Your plan,
And I can’t be anywhere, but where I am.

How quickly our life’s coin is spent…
From my appearance, I forgot the rent!
I wasn’t looking when youth up and went
Now seams are tattered on this mortal tent.

Childish dreams have faded away..
Youthful passions never meant to stay.
I’ll keep my vision on another day,
'Till You return I will watch and pray:
