That Almighty God would condescend
To dwell in the flesh of mortal men,
Is a mystery that stills my soul;
My so-feeble mind can’t comprehend
God’s redeeming love bestowed in Him
And applied to me by faith alone.

That Jesus Christ, the Anointed One
Would partake of death as Adam’s son
Is beyond the grasp of mortal minds;
When His great work on the cross was done
God’s long-promised day of grace had come,
Perfect love and justice had combined.

God’s perfect plan had been brought to pass
Which Satan’s hordes couldn’t counteract--
God’s redemption is through faith by grace;
Wisdom hidden from the ages past
Though men should have known--it was forecast--
Revealed to us in these final days.

Since the Light of Christ has dawned below,
Many millions who’ve had grace bestowed,
Wait fervently for the coming King;
Though He delays, do not count Him slow;
He desires that everyone might know
Redeeming grace through their faith in Him.

If you hear His voice don’t procrastinate,
Just one day more might be one day late!
It’s the day of grace! Do not delay!
For all who die in their sinful state,
Only fearful judgment lies in wait:
Turn in faith to Christ! Today’s the day!
