When I need a little lift, a break from my day
I go into my garden, my secret place, to stay
Here the flowers all have names
among them I dance and play...

They sway upon their slender stems,
the music is from a heavenly place;
and in the flowers, I hear it too,
and think of your wonderful face...

My heart at rest, I bring to mind
all the beautiful memories anew;
and I relived them over again,
special moments of 'I LOVE YOU!

I remember our first meeting,
walking straight into your arms,
and there I knew I'd found my place,
you are my refuge, keeping me from harm.

I remember first coming to church,
knowing nobody but just you...
and hoping that they'd like me too,
for I was hopelessly in love with you...

I remember our wedding day,
when we said our vows so true,
and I say them over to myself,
beautiful words that mean I LOVE YOU.

Every day that's gone by since,
has its place in my garden of bliss,
and when I want to feel the joy,
I go there, for nothing's better than this!

Better even than the garden,
is time that I spend with you;
and make new memories to grow in the garden,
all little portraits of how much I LOVE YOU!!
