I know I treated you wrong, for so long
and been hard on you from the start.

Even when times have changed,
you've always been in my heart.

You've always been for me
through lots of thick and thin

And I know your not only my mother
but also my good friend.

I know I was hard headed and acted like I didn't care

Well, deep down inside,
I want you to know, you've always been there.

I know your life's been rough and you've been through alot of strain
Well, please forgive me Mom for causing alot of the pain.

Mom, you've always been strong in the heart
and always in your mind
So I think the Lord up above, because your love is so kind.

I can't help myself as I cry, for these words are true,
Mom I just want you to know on thing - I always will love you.

My brother Joshua wrote this for my Mom, just before he was killed in a car wreck at the age of 27. "He cannot come to me; but I can go to him."
