Christian Living
Your success in living a victorious Christian life is up to you. We are all responsible for our success or lack of success. As Christians, we all have the same resources available to us. God is no respecter of persons. We all have the same promises, the same faith, and the same Spirit given to us to be our Helper. The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t is the level of determination and willingness to do whatever is necessary to accomplish our goal.
If you desire to live a successful Christian life, diligence is the key. It takes a constant and earnest effort to accomplish this goal. You must want success. It doesn’t float down from heaven on a cloud. It takes hard work to achieve a victorious Christian life.
Those who live in victory in their Christian lives aren’t the ones who sit around and watch television all day. Christians who walk in victory are those who spend their time attending to the things of God that will develop their spiritual lives, such as, daily Bible meditation, prayer, fellowship with other Christians, and regular church attendance. Without these regular activities, our spiritual lives will weaken and become unfruitful.
A lukewarm heart is one with divided interests. We want to be friends with the world and still stay somewhat connected to God. (See James 4:4 AMP). God requires first place in our lives and anything less than God being first place is spiritual adultery. If you have found yourself in a lukewarm spiritual state, it may take some real effort to get back to being on fire for God. James 4:8 (KJV) says, “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you”.
Remember, you are responsible for your spiritual success. No one else can do it for you. Become diligent again about the things of God. Read your Bible daily, attend church regularly, fellowship with other Christians, and talk to God daily. If you will be diligent to do these things, before you know it, you will feel that red hot passion for God begin to return.
