Psalm 1253

I’m trying to find the right approach, Father,
where I don’t sound too opinionated like I have before.
Right now I’m witnessing something very wrong,
that has had a devastating impact,
and will be even more devastating if it continues.
I pray that it’s not too late.
I ask Father, that you help me express myself gently,
and not let my emotions get the best of me,
because right now I'm not too happy.
At the same time, Father, I ask that you give Israel
the eyes to see the display of faithlessness being shown by them.
O how blind they are to the gift which has been revealed just for them.
Have they forgotten the words spoken to the religious leaders long ago?
How can they not see and disobey the two most important commands given to them?
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-32)
I know it’s hard not to treat others the way they treat you.
I have a hard time with this myself, Father,
but I believe the strength to overcome can only be found in prayer.
And I ask, Father, that you give all of us strength to overcome this obstacle,
for it is written:
So in everything , do to others what you would have them do to you,
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:12)
What’s taking place now is not a display of faith.
You said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
You can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
If faith can move a mountain it can surely stop fighting,
I truly believe this.
Acts of faithlessness will only bring to pass these spoken words:
“And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world
and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast
in the Kingdom of Heaven. But many Israelites --- those for whom
the Kingdom was prepared --- will be cast into outer darkness,
where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 8:11-12)
I pray and ask, Father, that prayer and repentance reconcile the two sisters
Oholah and Oholibah.
I’m not meaning to change any of your judgments,
let what must be, be.
Just listen to my plea.
I ask, Father, that our sin be rooted out where it has gained a foothold,
and that total destruction will not be the life of my nation or any other.
So many have become desensitized to sin and without discipline to You,
therefore my prayer is for all to come to repentance,
and I ask, Father, that any others who can hear please join me in this prayer.
“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for,
it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come
together in my name, there am I with them. (Matthew 18:19-20)
I ask, Father, that You restore Your people,
that we may be made pure and holy,
and brought into perfect fellowship with You.
I won't doubt, Father, the faith I have in You.
All that I ask, I ask in Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
