By His power, God created the universe.
By His might, He formed both sea and earth.
His power so great, none other may withstand;
Omnipotent, above both angel and man.

Yet power alone could ne’er prevail
To free one soul from it’s place in Hell;
Only by Christ’s blood, shed on Calvary,
He paid the debt, and set His children free.

Omniscient, all-knowing God,
Whose mind encompasses all and naught,
Seeing beginning, end, and beginning anew,
Defines right from wrong, error from true.

Yet knowledge alone could ne’er prevail
To free one soul from it’s place in Hell;
But by Christ’s blood, shed upon that tree,
He paid the debt, and set His children free.

God of all love, and Love being God,
Surely this saves us from Hell’s roiling sod!
Love gave free-will (refused and abused):
By Law condemned, by Holiness unexcused.

No, love alone could ne’er prevail
To free one soul from it’s chosen hell.
Only by Christ’s blood, shed for you and me,
He paid the debt, and set His children free.
