I looked down at a figurine
Of the last supper
That is sitting in front of
My computer screen

I subconsciously reached down
Patted the figurine of Jesus on the head
When I realized what I had done
I smiled, and though

If Jesus came to visit me
In person, I probably would
Pat him on the head
It’s my way of showing affection

However, He lives within my heart
As the Holy Spirit, and without
His guidance and inspiration
I wouldn’t have make it this far

So, in reality I can not pat
Jesus on the head
Until I arrive in Heaven
Where He is waiting for me

I’m not ready to leave just yet
I feel that I’m still needed here
Last week I saw proof of that
So I pray and thank Jesus


For my earthly life
And the will to survive
Although...I have been thinking
About death

I have saw several loved ones die
And I realize that my time is due
One day, and know that Jesus
Will stay true...to His word

He has a mansion prepared
For me...and for you
So I would like to say
We love you Jesus
