That We Celebrate Him

God’s Child called Christ, our Advent hope
This treasured Son, we worship and celebrate
His peace made secure, from a world of hate

Our treasure of life, born in a stable
In still calm night centuries ago
Man’s promise for hope, the Father did show

Burdens made heavy, in a world so uncertain
Rest for mankind, in Bethlehem, God come upon us
Angels proclaim, love, joy, peace, hope of promise


Faith, His grace to us, given new each day
Assigned from above, by our Father’s love
To direct our path, faith, for us from above

Measured thru experiences of living
Tried and tempered, serve others in giving
Strength and calm, bring life new in living

A choir of angels, from God’s throne on high
Telling of God’s Son, come to earth that day
God’s promise, this babe in straw as he lay


Wise men from the east they came
Travel by God’s Spirit led from afar
Following a brilliance, from a shining star

A treasured gift from our Father in Heaven
These wise men too, by faith were fed
Anointed, by God’s Holy Spirit, were led

Come, worship God’s treasured Son
His Spirit abide, His love be our fate
God’s Son, worship Him to celebrate
